World Women's day - 2018

CSCF Chair and Swedish Ambassador to Kenya, H.E. Madam Anna Jadfelt

2018-03-08

Our chair, Selina was nominated as one of Kenya's women making a difference in the lives of ordinary Kenyans.
She was selected for her work in Sickle Cell Disease.
The nomination was in recognition of the fact that there is very scanty information available on the Internet as pertains women in spheres of change and influence. Her nomination means that all her work will now be published in Wikipedia.
This project derives from documentation that shows that 9 out of 10 of the world's Wikipedia editors are men. A situation which negatively impacts stories about women around the world. More on this project can be read here
The event was hosted by the Swedish Amabassador to Kenya, Her Excellency Madam Anna Jadfelt at her residence.
